Our story
DK Love Movers, nestled in the heart of North Carolina, is the brainchild of David Kornegay — affectionately known as DK. A proud alumnus of North Carolina State, DK graduated in 2006 only to discover his passion lay not in a traditional career path, but in a summer job he had grown to love: moving furniture.
That unexpected love affair with the moving industry inspired DK to dream of owning his own company. He took the first steps by helping friends and family with their moves. The journey began with a humble start — DK’s first client was his high school algebra teacher, moved with the help of his dad’s trusty 1990 Chevy Silverado.
In 2009, the dream materialised as he purchased his first moving truck, marking the official launch of DK Love Movers. Today we are a proud Harnett County-based enterprise serving the local communities of Fayetteville and Raleigh. As a small business we take immense pride in delivering top-tier, personalised service.
